It is with great pleasure that we reveal to you the wines and sakes that have risen to the top of the list of the best scores in the Sélections Mondiales des Vins 2024 competition!
This year, SMV is providing additional visibility to certain award-winning wines through the Top 30 SMV 2024 – SAQ. From October 16 to 30, 30 wines sold at the SAQ that received the highest scores in the competition were highlighted on all La Presse platforms, in the form of advertising leading to a dedicated page on our website. This initiative aims, among other things, to strengthen awareness of the competition among Quebec consumers.
Established in Canada in the province of Quebec, Sélections Mondiales des Vins is the most important international wine competition in North America and among the most renowned in the world.

Since 2021, the Sélections Mondiales des Vins team has held its competition in Montreal, an effervescent Quebec metropolis whose openness to world wines, culinary expertise, creativity and major events are recognized worldwide.
In addition to being a great gastronomic and cosmopolitan city, Montreal will be an important asset for the recognition of the competition and its winning producers, both on the Canadian market and internationally.
Sélections Mondiales des Vins closely monitors fluctuating trends in the international wine market, particularly those that are attracting interest in North America.
By participating in the contest, producers have the opportunity to promote their wines and obtain a real-time portrait of the various North American wine markets.
It is with great pleasure that we unveil for the first time the wines and sakes that have risen to the top of the rankings with the highest scores at the Sélections Mondiales des Vins 2024 competition!
On October 10, at the heart of the magnificent Vignoble Rivière du Chêne, a discovery event of Québec viticulture took place with the international jury of the 2024 Sélections Mondiales des Vins.
As we approach the 31st edition of the Sélections Mondiales des Vins (SMV) competition, we can unequivocally say that this year’s event promises to be one of the most exciting yet!
