This year, the jury awarded the title of 2024 Producer of the Year to Mr. Jaime Quendera, oenologist at Adega de Pegões. His wines achieved the highest average score in his country, based on the top five highest-rated entries.
His meticulous work in the vineyard and his unique expertise in oenology have resulted in wines that captivate the senses and reflect the richness of the terroir. This recognition honors not only the exceptional quality of his wines but also the significant impact he has had on the growth of Portugal’s wine industry.
Beyond classic distinctions, Sélections Mondiales des Vins also celebrates innovation, passion and dedication. The VINOFED and Canadian Association of Oenologists (CAOE) special awards honor those who push the boundaries of oenology, offering unique sensory experiences and innovative interpretations of wine.
